South Asian Coalition on Child Servitude
(SACCS)
It is the first civil society initiative to fight against
child slavery and child labour since 1980 in India. It is proud
in liberating over 55,000 children from slavery, which paved the
way for new lives through education, training and rehabilitation.
Among a few innovations of SACCS are the international consumer
campaign led to first child labour free social labelling Rugmark,
conceiving and coordinating one of the world’s largest social
mobilisation for most vulnerable children Global March Against
Child Labour and creating a people’s movement through a
15,000 kilometre Long march in India Shiksha Yatra.
