Organisations Working for Child Rights
HUMAN RIGHTS EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Aims to contribute towards the development of a civil and
humane society by providing children and young people with a socially
relevant and human rights-sensitive education.
The overall aim of HREP is to contribute towards the development
of a civil and humane society by providing children and young
people a socially relevant and human rights-sensitive education.
The Organisation
Human Rights Education Programme (HREP) was set up in August
1995 as an independent, non-profit organisation. HREP works mainly
with school children and teachers, using the full spectrum of
rights as the basis of its work.
HREP believes that in addressing broader educational issues,
the qualitative aspects must be given paramount importance. It
also believes that positive social change in society is possible
if children and young people are helped to develop into aware
and participating citizens
