The 27th International Fundraising Congress

The 27th International Fundraising Congress will be held 23-26 October 2007 at the NH Leeuwenhorst Hotel in Holland and is English speaking. Last year was a sell-out and attracted over 900 participants from 57 countries worldwide.

Regional Conference on Youth, Children and HIV/AIDS

24-27 August, 2004
Conference Methodology
Three groups of participants will be attending the conference. These include the programme/project officers or coordinators for youth and children on HIV/AIDS in various countries, youth volunteers in various countries and children affected by HIV/AIDS. There shall be three parallel sessions running with each group/class running the sessions.

Global Youth Employment Summit (YES)

4-7 Oct 2004
The Federal Government of Mexico and the YES Campaign announce the Youth Employment Summit (YES), to be held in Veracruz, Mexico, October 4-7, 2004. The Institute of Youth, Mexico's government agency responsible for youth, will work in partnership with the US-based YES Campaign HQ to invite 1,000 youth development practitioners, government officials, business leaders, youth leaders and NGOs to Veracruz.

THEME: Behind Closed Doors: Child Domestic Labour

Too many children who are in domestic labour are victims of exploitation. As they clean, cook, care for their employer’s children, do heavy housework, they are deprived of rights due to them as children in international law - the right to play; visits with their family and friends; decent accommodation; and protection from sexual harassment or physical and mental abuse.

From 1-2 June 2004, The Africa Network Campaign on Education for All (ANCEFA) held a country level workshop on GCE Capacity Building Initiative For EFA Coalitions In Africa: The Real Worlds Strategies (RWS) Project - Workplan For 2004. The workshop was hosted by the Civil Society Coalition on Quality Basic Education (CSCQBE), a coaliton of more than 48 civil society organiations in Malawi advocating for quality education.

Budget Monitoring Research Exercise

Through partnership with the Civil Society Coalition on Quality and Basic Education (CSCQBE), AECL/CRIDOC, together with more than 48 other member orgnisations, has been actively involved in the Budget Monitoring research exercise to track/monitor initiatives aimed at ensuring that the government, civil society and local communities, prioritise the educational needs and rights of poor people by strengthening the capacity and voice of Parents and Teachers Associations (PTAs) and emerging civil society networks on education in all the districts.

Children's World Congress on Child Labour
