seek to advance public understanding of, and engagement with,
important issues concerning communities in Balaka and even
beyond. Our various programmes and projects include Climate
change and environmental management; Environmental conservation;
HIV & AIDS;women empowerment; Educational support to orphaned
and vulnerable children; Food Security; Livelihood support;
Governance and human rights, just to mention a few.Although we believe in what we're doing, we depend entirely on the generosity of you, our readers, to cover our operating expenses. Your donations will not be used to pay salaries; we at Chinansi Fooundation are a handful of unpaid, part-time volunteers (talk about being overworked and underpaid!) But we love every minute of it. Most importantly, we would also appreciate to receive any resources towards the improvement of our resource centre, such as used computers, books, educational CDs, video tapes, or audio tapes, and educational resources in Braille.
