AFRICAN CHILD ASSOCIATION

The African Child Association (ACA) is established for the purpose of promoting and protecting the rights of African children, respond to their needs and aspirations, improve their overall well-being and to actively advocate for the alleviation of any distress that may be suffered by any child due to conflict, poverty or otherwise wherever they may be in the world.

It is committed to providing and perpetuating enabling environments in order to improve the intellectual and social skills of African children. That is in addition to identifying practical solutions for the complex challenges and dynamics, which may be encountered by African children in many societies and communities.

ACA Mission Statement

Promote and protect the rights of African children, respond to their needs and aspirations, improve their overall well-being and actively intervene in and advocate the alleviation of any distress that may be suffered by any child due to conflict, poverty or otherwise.

ACA Objectives

• Promote and protect the rights of African children in matters and concerns as regards their aspirations, development, needs or otherwise.
• Work for the creation, provision and perpetuation of enabling environments in order to improve the social, intellectual and social skills of African children
• Respond to and identify practical solutions for the complex challenges and dynamics, which may be encountered by African children.
• Develop and provide educational and training programmes on issues and matters concerning the promotion and protection of the rights of African children.
• Initiate or participate with civil society institutions or otherwise on advocacy activities on policy matters, whether at national, regional or international levels.
